Challenge:
Before founding Confi Consultancy, our lead consultant was responsible for delivering a secure campus relocation under extremely tight deadlines. All IT services, including networks, servers, and facilities, had to be moved to a new site without disrupting ongoing operations. Multiple suppliers and stakeholders were involved, increasing complexity and risk.
Approach:
A topology review mapped network dependencies, and a detailed cutover plan was built to safeguard service continuity. The Design Authority was engaged to ensure the new server room met secure standards, while electrical remediation was scoped to eliminate blockers. Stakeholder engagement was prioritised throughout, aligning business units, facilities, and security teams.
Result:
The relocation was delivered on time and with minimal service disruption. All IT services and infrastructure transitioned successfully, and the upgraded facilities left the client with a more robust, compliant environment.
Confi Takeaway:
This project was delivered prior to Confi’s founding, but it informs our structured approach today. It demonstrates how strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder leadership can achieve seamless transitions where failure isn’t an option.
