Our founder, Simon Coulton, began his career in the British Army before moving into senior delivery roles across the NHS and Ministry of Defence. I started this business after seeing the same patterns repeat: over-engineered solutions, unclear accountability, and delivery teams working hard without clear direction while leadership operated at a distance. Over time, I learned something simple, delivery only works when ownership is clear and control is maintained.
My background spans defence, healthcare, and central government, leading complex, high-value technology and infrastructure delivery in secure and high-pressure environments. That experience shaped how Confi operates today: structured, calm, and focused on outcomes that hold under scrutiny.
